Cost and Pricing
CPLG works with each client to develop a budget specific to your needs and objectives. Daily rates for instructors or facilitators are set on a sliding scale based on population (for municipalities) or Tier (for counties) to make our services cost accessible regardless of budget size. To further maximize client access, thanks to generous private funding, CPLG may be able to provide additional needs-based financial support for low wealth counties.

While cost varies by specific agreement, as a general rule, clients should budget for:
Retreats or Related Services
Facilitator Daily Rate (see above). Facilitator time for a retreat varies depending on:
a) The retreat time on-site (or online)
b) Conducting a planning meeting to clarify goals, understanding the background of the group, and determining how information is digested prior to or during the retreat (i.e., presentations and discussion)
c) Developing a draft agenda and receiving feedback
d) Developing and/or reviewing other material for guiding effective discussion and decisions
e) Some clients also want the facilitator to do follow-up work, such as a meeting summary or report
A general estimate is one-day of preparation for every day of on-site (or online) facilitation. Additional preparation time may be identified in the planning meeting. Clients have found great value in the careful preparation steps for a retreat.
- Facilitator daily rates may vary when there is more than one facilitator
- Facilitator Travel costs for on-site services (e.g., lodging, mileage, and per-diem charged at standard GSA rates).
- Materials and/or assessments – adjusted to the needs of each client.
- Meals (if provided by the School of Government).
Tailored Courses
- Facilitator Daily Rate (see above) – preparation and in-person time.
- Additional Facilitator/coach Daily rate.
- Facilitator/Coach Travel costs (for on-site) – lodging, mileage, and per-diem charged at standard GSA rates.
- Materials and/or assessments – adjusted to the needs of each client.
- Meals (if provided by SOG).
- Program Support fee (generally $36/per person unless more than standard support is required).
